I have the honor to request that you will transfer to Major P. T. Swaine 2nd Infantry, Disbursing Officer St. Louis Mo. the funds ($23.31) in your hands to pay the claim of Malinda Chase, widow of Peter Chase. Late Pvt Co. G. 119th U. S. C. T. (Certificate No 523.045) together with the confidential list and any other papers in your possession that may aid in identifications.
