NARA 604

Cynthiana Ky July 21st/73
Gen A. P. Howe

Dear Sir
Hannah Coleman desires to know what day, you will be at Lexington again to settle claims.

She has a small claim and is poor and cannot afford the expense of going to Louisville for it. She is in great need of money, and it would be a great favor to her for you to settle her claim at as early a day as possible. If you have not fixed upon a day to be at Lexington, [[crossed out]] but can [[/crossed out]] please inform her about what time it will be, as it is a matter of importance for her to know.

Yours &c.
Philip Ammerman
Please address your letter to her to my care.
