Dear Sir

Scott Gay has this day Received your notice saying that you would be at Louisville (30) days from date of your notice which is dated July 1st 1873 & at Lexington at a time to be fixed by you.  The Time having passed for any appearance at Louisville I desire to know whether you will not meet me and two others that have claims to wit Robert Scott &  Garvey Fitzpatrick if you will we have agreed to meet you at Lexington on Saturday morning next the 16" Inst to recover our money will you fix to meet us there on Saturday the 16" and well get there by 8 oclock A.M. or well all have to come to Louisville on Saturday please inform me by return mail so we may know where to go to get our claims very much oblige Scott Gay
