March 30, 1877.

Respectfully returned to Capt. H.S. Hawkins 6th Infantry., Disbursing Officer, Louisville, Ky., with information that the name D. Cole or David Cole is not on the rolls of Co. G, 15th U.S.C.T.

The enclosed transcript from the records of the Nashville National Cemetery is presumed to have reference to David Cole of Co., I. 15th U.S.C.T., as the same corresponds with the record on the "Roll of Honor" and there is no similar record of a D. or David Cole of the 15th U.S.C.T.
