Referring to the case of John and Evaline Bone, parents of David Cole, late private of company I. 15th U.S.C. Troops, certificate #627.869. I have the honor to state that affidavits of witnesses to identity of claimants, represent the soldier as having served in company I, 15th U.S.C. Troops.  Their attention having been called to error in military record, John Bone sends a communication, dated Nashville March 17th 1877, enclosing transcript from records of Nashville National Cemetery, giving the service record as in company I. 15th U.S.C., Troops.
