Referring to your letter of the 28th ulto.; I have to inform you that the claim in the case of Dudley Morgan, deceased, late Pvt. Co. G, 117th U.S.C.T. was settled for $163.50 in favor of William and Simeon Morgan as brothers of the soldier.  The sum of $12.00 was deducted and paid as attorneys fees, leaving the sum of $75.75 payable to each of the brothers named.

As was stated in the margin of the list, on which the claim in question was sent to you, the amount due to
