Dear Sir; 

Your letter of the 8th inst. to Rebecca Keruth directed as did also your letter to Malinda Nelson, that affidavits be forwarded you & that then time & place of payment of their claims, which had been settled, would be fixed. The affidavits were forwarded to your address last Monday since which time they have not heard from you. The parties live some distance in the country and have been here several days awaiting further instructions from you. As they are on expenses here, they are all the more solicitous to have the matter finally settled, & would be obliged to you for an early reply.
