NARA0246

Mo when her son joined the army. He joined in Kansas. We are satisfied if you will over haul the proof in this case you will find that all of the questions you desire answered have already been answered and proven as will appear from the papers & proof on file in your office.

The mother of this boy knows nothing of her own knowledge as to the many questions you desire answer. She quite old and almost helpless and her financial condition is such that she does not deem it proper to make a trip to Lexington, as by so doing she could furnish no more proof than has already been offered. We will say in conclusion that the claimant Almyra Bryant is one of the old women in the county strictly honest & truly in need of her claim. We hope you will look up the papers all ready offered & reexamine them, and from our recollection of the proof you will certainly pay over the claim. We have done all we can in the premises.

Yours Truly,
Welch & Hansford, Attys
