Sir:
The Hon. Secretary of the Treasury has had prepared a special check for the use of disbursing officers of each Department of the Government, printed from steel plates on specially prepared paper, with printed numbers &c.

As it is desired that this new standard form of check be used to the exclusion of all others, I should be pleased to receive your request for a book to take the place of the one now used by you.
