change to table format change "do" (ditto) to text ---------------------------- Apparently for neatness, the writer hand-drew a separating line down the first column between last and first names. However, I have transcribed like all the other similar forms in this set--with the "Name of Claimant or Heir" being one column, not two. Otherwise, it gets too cumbersome to handle the instances where there are multiple heirs for one soldier.
