Bell George, Pvt Co., I, 5th Reg't U.S.C Cavalry 
was born in Marion Co Kentucky, was enlisted the 27th day of 
June, 1864, at Lebanon Ky, by Capt Fidler, 
and was mustered in the 27th day of June, 1864, 
at Lebanon Ky, by Capt Fidler, for 3 years.
At the time of enlistment he was 20 years old, and 5 feet, 
5 inches high, Black complexion, Brown eyes, Black hair, 
and by occupation a Farmer. He was discharged (or died) 16th day 
of March, 1866, at Helena, Arkas
1st Lt Cyrus Robertson was commanding officer, and John H Montgomery 
first sergeant at time of soldier's discharge. The following are 
the names of one or more of his company who enlisted at or about the same time and place: 
Robert Helen & Charles Spaulding [[strikethrough]] enlisted ___ day of ___ 186 , and ___ enlisted ___ day of ___ , 186 . [[/strikethrough]]

REMARKS.
1. If a slave, that fact and name of owner will be noted here.
2. Any other peculiar fact or event connected with the soldier's history will also be noted.

Joined at original organization. On Rolls from Oct. 31st 64 to Feby 28th 65 "Sick in General Hospital Bowling Green since Dec 30th 64". Present and mustered out with Co. He is reported "Slave" on Muster out Roll of Co.
