George Bell Pvt. "I" Co. 5th Regt. U.S.C. Cavy was born in Marion Co. Kentucky, was enlisted the 27th day of June, 1864, at Lebanon, Ky., by J.M. Fidler, and was mustered in the 27th day of June, 1864, at Lebanon, Ky., by Capt. J.M. Fidler, for 3 years.

At the time of enlistment he was 20 years old, and 5 feet 5 inches in height. He was discharged [[strikethrough]] (or died) [[/strikethrough]] 16th day of March, 1866, at Helena, Ark; 1st Lt. Cyrus Robertson was commanding officer, and John H. Montgomery First Sergeant at time of soldiers discharge. The following are the names of one or more of his company who enlisted at or about same time and place: John Cox enlisted 27th day of June, 1864, and Gray Helm enlisted 27th day of June, 1864.
