NARA 495 (FORM 24.) Anthony Williams, "I" Co., 118' Reg't U. S. C. TS. was born in Henderson, Ky., was enlisted the 20 day of September, 1864, at Owensboro, Ky., by Capt. Grisson, and was mustered in the 20' day of September, 1864, at Owensboro Ky., by Capt. Grisson, for 3 years. At the time of enlistment he was twenty three years old, and five feet 7 1/2 inches high, black complexion, black eyes, black hair, and by occupation a Laborer. He [[strikethrough]] was discharged [[/strikethrough]] (or died) 27 day of October, 1864, at Hospl. 10. A. Corps w Jones Landing, Va. J. D. M. V. B. Magover was commanding officer, and Charles Jenkens first sergeant at time of soldier's death. The following are the names of one or more of his company who enlisted at or about the same time and place: William Woodsow enlisted 20 day of September 1864, and Stephen Young enlisted 20 day of September 1864. REMARKS. 1. If a slave, that fact and name of owner will be noted here. 2. Any other peculiar fact or event connected with the soldier's history will also be noted. Joined at original organization.
