Slave of Newt Byon, Paris, Bourbon Co. Ky, when Enlisted. 
Entered as a subsitute, but do not know who Enlisted for.
App'd a Capt. in July 1864, and was a Color Capt. in the fall of 1864 was ordered to the ranks in fall of 1865. Was in Hospital a short time in Indianola, Texas, in fall of 1865.
