James Jago, "C" Co., 118 Regt. U.S.C. Troops was born in Muhlenburg Co. Ky, was enlisted the 20th day of October 1864, at Baltimore Md, by Col. Bowman, and was mustered in the 20th day of October, 1864, at Baltimore, by Lieut. C.R. Sykes, for three years. At the time of enlistment he was Twenty seven years old, and five feet nine 1/2 inches in height. He [[strikethrough]] was discharged (or [[/strikethrough]] died) 12th day of February, 1865, at Point of Rocks Va; Lt. W J Haine was commanding officer, and Elijah Wheatley First Sergeant at time of soldiers death. The following are names of one or more of his company who enlisted at or about same time and place: William N Elam enlisted 19th day of October, 1864, and Alfred J. Henry enlisted 20th day of October, 1864.
