William Rudy - Corporal, "B" Co., 118” Regt. U.S.C. Inf’y was born in Shelby - State of Kentucky, was enlisted the 23d day of August, 1864, at Owensboro Ky, by Captn. Grisson, and was mustered in the 25 day of August, 1864, at Owensboro Ky, by Captn. J.R. Grisson - Pro: Mar:, for 3 years. 

At the time of enlistment he was 24 years old, and 5 feet 6½ inches in height. He was discharged [[strikethrough]] (or died) [[/strikethrough]] 14th day of December, 1865, at Baltimore M’d, in Hicks Gen: Hosp’l ; Captain J.S Philbrook was commanding officer, and William Breckenridge First Sergeant at time of soldiers Discharge. The following are the names of one or more of his company who enlisted at or about same time and place: John Thompson enlisted 23d day of August, 1864, and Grant Hancock enlisted 23d day of August, 1864.

(and Fort Monroe Va,) since March 25th 1865 xx. "He was discharged on Surgeon’s Certificate of disability, because of "Hemiplegia of the right side, sequelae of Typhoid fever. (as he states) contracted since enlistment." (Disability total.)
