James Garrison Pvt E co 100 Regt USC Troops was born in Fayette Co., Ky. was enlisted the 30 day of May 1864 at Lexington Ky by Capt Moore and was mustered in the [[?2]] day of June 1864 at Lexington Ky by Capt Moore for 3 years. At the time of enlistment he was 20 years old and 5 feet 11 inches in height. He was discharged [[strikethrough]] or died [[/strikethrough]] 26 day of Dec 1865 at Nashville Tenn. Capt Thos C Lind was commanding officer and Green Fisk First Sergeant at time of soldiers discharge. The following are names of one or more of his company who enlisted at or about the same time and place:  Wm Wallace enlisted 30 day of May 1864 and Martin White enlisted 30 day of May 1864.

James at original organization of and was present and mustered out with Company. (The Co, during the month of April May & June 1865 was guarding R.R. bridges at sections of 48 & 50, ct & ct W.R.R. [[?Tenn]] Co left Columbia Tenn Oct 29, 1865 for Benton [[?]] Mo., arriving there Nov 3, 65). Soldier was a slave of Robert Eddleman of Fayette Co, Ky. Occupation laborer; eyes, hair and complexion black.
