William Linney, J Co., 116 Regt. U.S.C. Inft was born in Anderson Ky, was enlisted the 6" day of July, 1864, at Camp Nelson, by J C Randolp, and was mustered in the 13" day of July, 1864, at Camp Nelson, by Capt Kinney, for three years. At the time of enlistment he was twenty four years old, and five feet eleven inches in height. He [[strikethrough]] was discharged (or [[/strikethrough]] died) 27" day of August, 1866, at White Ranche Tex; Capt Summer H Warren was commanding officer, and George Bishop First Sergeant at time of soldiers death. The following are the names of one or more of his company who enlisted at or about same time and place: Charles Monday enlisted 6" day of July, 1864, and George. A Mountjon enlisted 6" day of July, 1864.
