William Dodson, Private, "C" Co., 122d. Regt. U.S.C. Inf'y was born in No record - State of Kentucky, was enlisted as a Substitute the 27th. day of September, 1864, at Bowling Green KY, by Captain Hobson, and was mustered in the 27th. day of September, 1864, at Bowling Green Ky, by Captain Hobson, for One year [[strikethrough]] s [[/strikethrough]]. 
At the time of enlistment he was 18 years old, and 5 feet 9½ inches in height. He [[strikethrough]] was discharged (or [[/strikethrough]] died)  day of   186 . at New Albany Ind. in Gen'l Hospital; Captain Thos. Cherrington was commanding officer, and Anderson Middleton First Sergeant at time of soldiers Death. The following are names of one or more of his company who enlisted at or about same time and place: Jack Fugua enlisted 24th. day of September, 1864, and William Graham enlisted 27th. day of September, 1864.

2.  Any other peculiar fact or event connected with the soldier's history will also be noted.
