Anthony Moss Private Co., F, 8th Regt. U.S.C.A. (Hy.), was born in Caldwell Co., Kentucky, was enlisted the 24th day of May, 1864, at Paducah, Ky., by Capt. Holmes, and was mustered in the 6th day of June, 1864, at Paducah, Ky., by Lt. D.C. McIver, for 3 years. At the time of enlistment he was 36 years old, and 5 feet 8½ inches in height. He [[strikethrough]] was discharged (or [[/strikethrough]] died) 19th day of July, 1864, at Paducah, Ky.; Capt. C.A. Holmes was commanding officer, and Charles Tinsly First duty Sergeant at the time of soldiers death. The following are names of one or more of his company who enlisted at or about the same time and place: Thomas Jones enlisted 24th day of May, 1864, and Franklin Moss enlisted 24th day of May, 1864.
