NARA 1045. (FORM 24.) George Edwards, Private Co., "E" 52nd Reg't U.S.C. Troops was born in — Georgia, was enlisted the 1st day of July, 1864, at Vicksburg, Miss., by Capt. Magens, and was mustered in the 22nd day of July, 1864, at Vicksburg, Miss., by Lt. McDougall, for 3 years. At the time of enlistment he was 20 years old, and 5 feet 6 inches high, Black complexion, Black eyes, Black hair, and by occupation a Farmer. He was discharged [[strikethrough]] (or died) [[/strikethrough]] 5th day of May, 1866, at Vicksburg, Miss. 1st Lt. C.H. Whiteside was commanding officer, and Carter Stuart first sergeant at time of soldier's discharge. [[strikethrough]] The following are the names of one or more of his company who enlisted at or about the same time and place: enlisted day of 186 , and enlisted day of , 186 .
