Frank Ware, Private Co., "L" 5th Reg't U.S.C. Art'ry hy was born in Scott, Mississippi, was enlisted the 1st day of March, 1864, at Vicksburg Miss, by Capt Wilson, and was mustered in the 23rd day of March, 1864, at Vicksburg Miss, by Captain Ide, for 3 years.

At the time of enlistment he was 17 years old, and 5 feet 4 1/8 inches high, Dark complexion, Brown eyes, Black hair, and by occupation a Field Hand, He was discharged (or died) 16th day of September, 1864, at Vicksburg Miss.
Captain Robard Wilson was commanding officer, and Charles B. Thacher first sergeant at time of soldier's death.
