William Henson, Private Co., "E" 100th Reg't U.S.C. Troops' was born in Knox Co., Tennessee, was enlisted the 4th day of June, 1864, at Covington Ky, by Major H.A. Mitchell, and was mustered in the 4th day of June, 1864, at Covington Ky, by Major H. A Mitchell, for 3 years.

At the time of enlistment he was 25 years old, and 5 feet 4 inches high, Black complexion, Black eyes, Black hair, and by occupation a Laborer. He was discharged ([[strikethrough]] or died [[/strikethrough]]) 26th day of December, 1865, at Nashville Tenn

Captain Thomas C. Lind was commanding officer, and Green Fish first sergeant at time of soldier's discharge.
