NARA 0010 [FORM 35.] Case of Mark Bell Serg, Co. 6, 66 Regiment U.S.C.T settled by Treasury Certificate No. 623625 Please furnish any information the papers afford, upon which the above settlement was made, that will assist in the identification of the claimant. The name of the Sub-Agent or Attorney is of value. Respectfully, Jas McMillan Captain Third Artillery, Chief D.O. WAR DEPARTMENT, ADJUTANT GENERAL'S OFFICE, Oct 14th, 1865. [REPLY.] It is stated in the application upon which the settlement referred to above was made that the soldier died at "Big Black" Miss. on or about the day of June, 1865; that her maiden name was Indiana Chapman; that she was married to said Mark Bell on or about the day of March, 1865, at , by the Chaplain of the 66th Reg't.
