Jefferson Singleton, Corp. Co., F 70 Reg't U.S.C.T.was born in Rapides La, was enlisted the 26 day of March, 1864, at Alexandria La, by Capt. D. E. O'Neil and was mustered in the 26 day of March, 1864, at Alexandria La, by Lt. Meagher, for 3 years. 

At the time of enlistment he was 20 years old, and 5 feet 4 1/2 inches high, Black complexion, Black eyes, Black hair, and by occupation a Servant. He was discharged [[strikethrough]] (or died) [[strikethrough]] 7 day of March, 1886, at Vicksburg, Miss. Lt Dan'l F. Hart was commanding officer, and Franklin, Petaway first sergeant at time of soldier's discharge.
