NARA0049 (FORM 24.) Andrew Taylor, Private Co., H. 4 Reg't U.S.C. Cav. was born in Richmond, Va, was enlisted the 26 day of February, 1864, at Indianola La, by G. Christian, and was mustered in the 8 day of April, 1864, at New Orleans La, by Lt J. W. Chamberlain, for 3 years. At the time of enlistment he was 31 years old, and 5 feet 5 inches high, Dark complexion, Black eyes, Black hair, and by occupation a Servant. He was discharged [[strikethrough]] (or died) [[/strikethrough]] 20 day of March, 1866, at New Orleans La. Capt Geo. E Seymour was commanding officer, and Paul Rosamonce first sergeant at time of soldier's discharge. REMARKS. 1. If a slave, that fact and name of owner will be noted here. 2. Any other peculiar fact or event connected with the soldier's history will also be noted. No record of Free or Slave status. Joined at original organization, present for duty until March 20, 1866, when he was admitted to C.S.A. Genl Hosp.
