Benjamin Taylor, Private Co., "I," 114th Reg't U.S.C. Troops was born in Fayette, Kentucky, was enlisted the 27th day of June, 1864, at Lexington, Ky., by Capt. Moore and was mustered in the 27th day of June, 1864, at Lexington, Ky., by Capt. Moore, for 3 years. 
At the time of enlistment he was 21 years old, and 6 feet 2 3 inches high, Black complexion, Black eyes, Black hair, and by occupation a Laborer. He was discharged [[strikethrough]] (or died) [[/strikethrough]] 2nd day of April, 1867, at Brazos Santiago, Tex. 1st Lt. Enos H. Bliss was commanding officer, and George Dyer first sergeant at time of soldier's discharge
