indeed hoped from the length of time that had elapsed previous to a similar oath being forwarded me to be subscribed by my late Janitor, James Joyce (a period of over two years) it had in a measure become a dead litter the tendency of the age being to heal over the difficulties engendered by the late War. In fact two of my clerks passed out of my employment without being called upon to subscribe to any oath at all. I would indeed be glad if matters could be so arranged that Fehey's service might be retained, as it is exceedingly difficult to procure a trustworthy man fitted to fill the position vacated by Joyce.
