Austin Jenkins can be paid upon presenting himself before me with the affidavit of two witnesses who can testify to his being the father of William Jenkins and can also swear to the Co. and Regt. the latter served in. The affidavit you sent was deficient in the latter particular. If you were instrumental in filing his claim or made out any papers for him for that purpose let him also bring an affidavit from you to that effect setting forth that he is the party who filed the claim. I enclose blank form for affidavit.
