Sir,
I have the honor to report that I have been informed from time to time of the death of the following named claimants, but no affidavits to the fact have been sent, probably because the parties aware of the facts did not care to go to the expense of making them.

I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 3d  inst. containing checks on settlement of the following accounts for the month of November 1873.
202  Joseph L Horr  Services  100.00
203  William Lytton  Services  40.00
204  Arrington Farrar & Weakley  Rent  40.00
205  Stratton Robb & Co.  Coal  13.26
The checks for the mileage voucher, sent in favor of myself amounting to 20 60/100 was not received.
It may have been supposed a mistake was made in rendering two accounts for the same trip to Viola Tenn. but there were two trips made to Viola, the first one on the 14th & 15th of Oct. which was settled for, subsequent to which an additional clai was received for the same parties and another trip made.
