Sir, 
I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your communication of the 7th inst. directing me to enter in the "Register of Claims" the payment of the claims of Dolly Liggins, widow of Alfred Liggins, and Samuel Jones, also directing an alteration in the amount of 
Emeline Fosters' claim. 
I would respectfully state that several claimants have
sent in their "Identification

papers and are waiting instructions from you when to put in an appearance. No claimants have applied here in person since the 1st inst. but inquiries have been made by persons expecting to hear from their claims.
I would ask the Major to set the time of payment at this place at as late a date in the month as possible to allow all ample time to report.

I respectfully enclose herewith, an Invoice in duplicate, for Stationery expressed to this office by Messrs Richard B Mohun & Co. of Washington D.C.
The stationery was received from the Express office yesterday and was examined and checked off by me and found to be in fair order and correct.
One copy of Invoice should be signed and mailed to the above named firm. This in accordance with instructions received from the Adjutant General dated May 25, 1874.
