5th Inf. D.O. FB
Memphis Tenn.

Sir:
I respectfully enclose herewith additional evidence in the case of Joseph Cright, late Prvt. Co. "H" 13th C.T. which case was referred to this office for investigation. A partial examination was had by Major LaMotte and the papers were returned by him to the Adjutant General by letter dated Mch. 16. 74
The reputed soldier Joseph Cright called again at this office, a few days since, and asked that his affidavit and also that some witnesses he had brought with him might be taken and sent to the Adjutant General, to assist in forwarding the settlement of his claim.
This is a claim that you have now on hand but it is in the name of Sally Crite or Cright widow of Joseph, and was suspended by letter from A.G.O. dated Dec. 23. 1874.
Should you deem it expedient these affidavits might be forwarded to Washington.
Very respectfully, Your obedient Servant.
