[[double underlined]] Colorite [[/double underlined]] I want to express the energetic full local colors of that morning scene the strongest red on houses, the pure blue sky, the rose horizon, the brilliant cyanblue water, the perfect white house walls, the clearly violetrose distant hills, the yellow grass banks -. This colorite to be rather harsh, as is the [[underlined]] character [[/underlined]] of the landscape here in such light: climate. and of purer or purest pigments, since I prefer them: [[underlined]] Temperament [[/underlined]]; and [[underlined]] pictorial [[/underlined]], hence I exaggerate the tonal contrast: the sky on top deeper blue, the lower part very pale, the horizon the lightest horizon; either flat or a little more decided color set in strokes on white remaining. The nonpictorial, decorative, ornamental has [[circle]] no [[/circle]][[underlined]] contrast of tone [[/underlined]], rather contrast of materials, as gold silver e.t.c. with colors.
