It is wise to not attempt the unreasonable. The psychologistic temerities of this and that young talent are impictorial or of ugly color, and all fail to please. The middle & foreground, oiled in; overpainted. It appeared that all white gables should have no yellow, the road only palest rose, the foreground strong yellow, - in order to have a beautiful pure colorite that is
