in the train that morning, and she helped us a great deal, she stayed with us until we got to New York.  We got off at Sing Sing, and drove to Scarborough from there. We found Addie there.

I walked to the station soon after breakfast.  My papa stayed at home. I arranged ^[[the]] hen-house in the after-noon, for the cats to sleep in.  While I was doing this, I suddenly saw Annie Joice drive up to the house.  I thought she had come to stay, and was [[underlined]] very [[underlined]] glad to find that she had only come to get some of her things which she had left there. She went away in a very few minutes.

My papa went to New York.
