papa and Arthur Carey had a very hard time getting Gerald and Gladys to sleep.

Tue. July 3rd
I went to Keene with my papa, early in the fore-noon. We were driven to Harrisville by the two Miss Greens. My papa and I had dinner in Keene with Aunt Annie and Aunt Esther and Aunt Mary. We started back to Dublin right after dinner, and Aunt Esther went with us. Isabel May came to the house while we were at supper, with a message from her mother; but went right home again.

Wed July 4th.
Right after breakfast Miss Greene brought Isabel May to see me. Isabel and I went down to the lake together.

We stayed there for a while, and then went to her house; we found Miss Greene there: she took us both to see the Osgoods. In the after-noon I went to [[drive?]] with her and Aunt Esther.

Thur. July 5th.
Aunt Esther went early in the fore-noon; Miss Greene drove her to Harrisville: she invited Gerald and me to drive to Harrisville with her, Gerald went, but I didn't want to. Gerald fell out of the wagon, but wasn't hurt. In the after-noon Arthur Carey and my papa walked to the village, and got back just in time for supper. They were caught in a little shower on the way back. They were rather late for supper, I think.
