noon, and stayed to supper. I walked to the village to get a man from the hotel to drive Aunt Mary to Harrisville as soon as possible. I drove home with him and he drove Aunt Mary to Harrisville. When I had ^[[just]] gone to bed, Nelly's sister drove up to the house with her little boy Josie to enquire for a place to stay that night. We let her stay with us that night. I think we had a ^[[little]] shower some time that day.

We had a picnic: (that generally means Isabel and Gerald and I, although sometimes it was only Gerald and I.) My papa's picture of Gerald and me was begun in the

after-noon. The little three-year-old Dwight girl came to see Gladys ^[[and Gerald,]] with her nurse, while my papa was painting. We found some hens nests.
