Arthur Carey came in 1887.

Aunt Esther went. (The four aunts who came August 9th were Aunt Annie, Aunt Esther, Aunt Kate and Aunt Mary; and must have gone home that after-noon ^[[all but Aunt Esther,]] they came a little while before dinner.
It cleared off.  Isabel took supper with us.  We took a walk.

I posed for my papa. Dr. Whittridge and Mrs. Haywood both called on us at different times in the after-noon. I washed Theano: [[(Thoas.)?]] We got a letter from Arthur Carey.

Very hot. Aunt Kate and Mary Riffley ^[[8.]] drove over from Keene to see us. I took a walk ^[[in the woods]] with Gretchen Osgood in the after-noon. I waded twice.

We had a hard thunder storm in ^[[the]] morning. Nelly's sister and Josie came: he waded in the lake in the after-noon.

I walked to the village in the morning. Gerald and I went to see Isabel (probably in the after-noon). The Pumpellys called.

Sunny day. Harry Greene photographed my papa's two pictures soon after breakfast. Nelly went to church
