June 13. Paid my taxes. Went to New York to ask Dr. McKenna to make some cement tests with me in which cement is mixed with bisulphite waste liquor. The tests were made by one of his assistants.

June 15. Worked in laboratory and spent day at home
June 16. Sunday. Drove to Bidemeyers in the morning.
In the afternoon stayed home. An unpleasant afternoon
June 17. I wrote a letter to my mother and I enclosed banknote for
50 Lire $ for Leonie.
