Afternoon orders  to march by Col. Carlin countermanded by Davis.-

MONDAY 7
Evening marched 1/2 mile 
towards a [[?]], then
marched back and
bivouacked.  The train
& any fire [[did so caught?]]
the ammunition wagons
and ambulances.-

TUESDAY 8
At noon the train returned
and we again went into camp.-
