Marched at 6 A.M. call.
orders countermanded against confiscation.
Marched 19 miles over a very
dry and dirty road. with very
little water.  Stopped an hour
for dinner.

WEDNESDAY 27
Marched 20 miles to Lawrenceburg
very hot.  

THURSDAY 28
Very hot and no water on
the road.  Marched to 1 mile
from Mt. Pleasant, 22 miles.
Guerillas fired in a small forage
party.  A gun accidentally discharged
shot a man in the 28th through both
knees and the hat of one in the 21st.

The 21st rearguard of the division
