One foot of snow on the ground.
Very Cold

Monday 27
Marched 16 miles passing thru Newmarket and Pekin got to camp after dark and had to issue beef before supper

Tuesday, October 28, 1862.
Marched 18 miles crossing Green River
very bad roads. Got to camp late
was no sooner asleep then woke again to issue rations.-- [[Image of face]]

Reveile at 4 A.m. got out on the road at 2 P.M. cause of the delay a high, steep and rocky hill on the opposite bank of the river

Marched 28 miles and camped early at Pruitte Knob.-
