Architect exhibits to Gen Delafield and also to myself his plans for the butresses to sustain the two front towers as proposed by the general who approves the proposition with the exception of the gurders to support the butress walls which he says must be of wrought instead of cast iron,
Commenced with Dr Wethenall experiments on the flowing of different liquids through a hole in the bottom of a glass vessel
