Pupa of same. Length .10 inch. Yellowish. Eyes comp., black. A slender bifid anal thorn. Front 1/2 very hairy. Cast larval skin almost always attached to anal fork. Head & thorax often more or less chestnut. ^ [[insertion]] { [[underline]] Olibrus apicalis [[/underline]] from Hessman Fly straws J. I. 25 [[/insertion]] 10 specimens of pups ; 7 of larva; preserved all in alcohol.
[[strikethrough]] Colaspis flavida [[/strikethrough]] ^ [[insertion]] [[underline]] Analcis [[strikethrough]] Colaspc [[/strikethrough]] fragariae [[/underline]] n. sp. (Strawberry crown borer) [[/insertion]] larva. White. Length when curled (like a lamellicorn) [[strikethrough]] or [[/strikethrough]] .15 inch. expanded .20inch. Head glabrous. ^ [[insertion]] with some faint transverse striations on Δ above mouth [[/insertion]] Pale tawny yellow. [[strikethrough]] Mouth [[/strikethrough]] Mand. [[strikethrough]] dark [[/strikethrough]] rufous ^ [[insertion]] tipped with black, [[symbol for angle]] 1, tip in [[/insertion]] [[strikethrough]] Jaws [[/strikethrough]] in [[symbol for angle]] of 80°. [[image]] A faint darker narrow dorsal line on abd. jts. Legs replaced by ^ [[insertion]] [[me? ]] [[/insertion]] fleshy tubercles, not very conspicuous & exarticulate. Labrum emarginated & as well a [[ma?]] pale, recd. from Miller, Aug. 17. '69.

General appearance of larva that of Westw. Intr. I. p. 350 fig. 4, but head 1/2 larger, & scarcely any neck.
Specimen of imago (Chestnut-brown, [[?]] paler) had not changed color in 20 hours exposure to light in vial; but developed 2 oblique white bands on elytra [[symbol]] Crypt. oblique fasciatus [[image]] which has only 1 [[image]].
