We followed the Darwin road to the upper Stone Corrall and then took the right-hand road towards Coso. Altitude of the lower Stone Corral 4680 ft [[insertion]] = [8:15 A.M. [3680 ft.= 1125 m. [[/insertion]] Summit of first canon 5830 " [[insertion]] = 4800 ft. = 1465 m. [[/insertion]] Darwin Mesa, first Yucca 5350 " [[insertion]] = 4350 ft. = 1325 m. [[/insertion]] " " , lower Yucca line 5650 " 1:15 P.M. [[insertion]] = 4650 ft. = 1415 m [[/insertion]] This is just a few feet higher than the upper Stone Corrall. First [[underlined]] Artemisia tridentata [[/underlined]] and [[underlined]] Purshia tridentata [[/underlined]], in a wash, 6500 ft. = 5500 ft. = 1675 m [[undelined]] Artemisia tridentata [[/underlined]] abundant 6825. [[insertion]] = 5800 ft. = 1765 m. [[/insertion]] The following plants were seen to-day after entering the wash a mile or two above the lower Stone Corral. Abronia (collected at Keeler) . [[underlined]] Anisocoma acaulis [[/underlined]] Arabis (pods refexed, pubescent or smooth)
