It would be superfluous to point out to this committee the interest and importance of this particular branch of investigation which has been neglected up to the present time, and which promises such rewards to the seeker.
I therefore recommend that the School shall include, among the earlier members of its staff, some person whose experience in the problems connected with early cultures in other countries would fit him to undertake the study of the stone age in China.
