90 feet from the summit the gray limestone again predominates and continues down 70 feet & becomes more arenaceous the succeeding 25 feet. [[right margin]] 185 [[right margin]]

The mottled limestone occurs near the base of 4 the purple mottling's weathering out in relief.

Measured the massive bed of limestone with intercalated chert layers and collected fossils from the same. They have a sub-carboniferous aspect.  [[right margin]] 145 [[/right margin]]
The chert is in layers of nodules + irregular [[ramifications?]] coincident with the bedding + forms about 1/4 of the mass. Fossils occur in abundance near the central & an upper part. Below none were seen. 
Spifera, [[Anthris?]], [[Chonetis?]], [[Produstis?]] etc with many species of bryozoans occur.
Thickness of bed 145.
