Gate posts nearly finished.
[[margin]] May 12. [[/margin]] Did not sleep much.  Wrote my paper on [[underlined]] Novolak [[/underlined]] for next Friday meeting and corrected Niagara printed copy.  Corrected first contract Canada with Cohoe & V. D. Linde.  very busy

day packing samples & trunks.  Seabury's samples finally arrived. Everything so beautiful here in this spring weather.  I truly regret to be compelled to go away at this moment.

George is [[underlined]] growing up [[/underlined]] nicely to a steady healthy and handsome boy.  I realize we are a very happy family.
[[margin]] May 13 [[/margin]] Beautiful day.  It is truly a pity to leave here at this time of year.  Spent morning packing trunks & dictating letters and signing checks.  Finally at about noon was thru with my work  Went to [[Peck?]] to buy some underwear and hats.  Feel as if I was thru with my preparations
