[[margin]] May 21 [[/margin]] Beautiful weather again. Toch & Baskerville made our group.  Almost all people recovered from seasickness.
[[underlined]] Sperry [[/underlined]] this afternoon explained his gyroscope before assembled saloon passengers with his operating small model.  A rather complicated

question which he seems to have pretty well mastered.  Same cheerful dinner. Elliot full of fun like usual.  We got a bottle of old port out.  Nice boyish chat in smoking room until 12 P.M.  [[underlined]] Wiley, Baskerville, Takamine, Borman [[/underlined]] playing poker. We speaking of reminiscences of gone chemists.  Went to my cabin and spent about one hour writing letters and notes.  This is indeed an enjoyable trip.
[[margin]] May 22 [[/margin]] (Saturday).  Same nice bright day.  Clayton won pool.  Spent all morning indexing Bakelite notes.  Had an unusually pleasant lunch one joking about another.  In afternoon revised scheme for European Bakelite Company
