At 11 A.M. Schroeder Engineer of [[underlined]] Jaroslaw [[/underlined]] (insulating materials) came.  showed my sample and gave him general information.  Told him am forming company which will decide afterwards whether to give licenses or not
1 P.M. Enter Mr. [[underlined]] Herman Hecht [[/underlined]] of Hecht Pfeiffer & Co with Sauer.  Says was former active in Continental Rubber Co. is still a director in it.  Now export business, says [[underline]] can busy [[red vertical line in margin]] me in relation with anybody interested directly or indirectly in Bakelite, quicker than any body else.  [[/underlined]]  Says can bring me in [[/red vertical line in margin]] relation with any manufacturer or bank I desire.  Invites me for to morrow night in his house.  Told him I have not decided yet what to do with

Bakelite and am still trying to [[strikethrough]] get [[/strikethrough]] post myself better.  I do not know what to make of the man.  Small stature intelligent face.  Very active and undoubtedly keenly interested in the matter.  Will find out who he is.  Speaks excellent english.  Shortly afterwards a man called Wertheimer called.  seems to be some kind of an agent or a promoter.  Does not impress me favorably.  Had very short talk with him and at 3 P.M. went out for lunch.  Have managed to write some letters between calls. -  Busy times!  Dictated letter for D. & F. Co. seeking information & prices relative
